Elephant Nature Park
A sanctuary and rescue centre for elephants that really gives you a wonderful experience. Lek and her team rescure mistreated or old Elephants and give them a natural home in the park, where they don't have to perform or work but can just be free animals. It's possible to stay here overnight and to volunteer. We highly recommend that if you want to experience Thai Elephants, you should go here and nowhere else!
Bring the Elephant Home & Trees for Elephants
Another charity that works tirelessly for the rescue and wellbeing of Thai Elephants.
They campaign to help Thai elephants and promote animal friendly eco-tourism, protect and pro-create a natural habitation for the elephants. Campaigns for the elephants include harvest food for the elephants, support of community development in traditional elephant villages, educate and involve the local schools in hopes of a better tomorrow where our children and animals can cohabitate peacefully. Fah Lanna supports Bring the Elephant Home.
Riverside Guest House
The Riverside is across the Iron Bridge, right next to the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Within walking distance to Fah Lanna and the nigh bazaar, around the corner from the Rimping supermarket, which stocks imported and local goods (very good supermarket!). The new rooms around the garden area are very lovely and they recently added a pool. We love the friendly people at the Riverside and used to stay there all the time before moving to Chiang Mai.
